It sounds pathetic..so much troubles..and that too when you shell out extra bucks just to get good brand…I had to buy one Laptop and was thinking for Sony Vaio..but after reading your ordeal, definately I’m not gonna take or recommend one….

WEMI will definaely give good boost to Open Source WCM(s) like Alfresco, Drupal & LifeRay..and this interoperability, no doubt, would turn up into more content management (CMS)oriented sites…

LOL …glad i've gone thru this post, Its a fascinating ordeal you have gone through, i am sure damn frustrating for you. I had zeroed in on this particular model, but nah, now i think macbook pro is always a better option. Yes, that's part of the problem. Commerce server had never been one of the more successful products for Microsoft. Due to decreasing marker share and lowering revenues, the commerce server took a back seat in 2007 itself when it's development was outsourced to Cactus Commerce in 2007. It was then just a matter of time that Microsoft got rid of the product.

Still no update from Sony on the refund and the compensation. I guess they've decided to keep the money as we'll as the laptop.
Oh wait.. they did call me to let me know that the laptop is still under observation….. haha!!

For the first time in over a month of possession of my laptop, Sony customer service executive calls me to update me that my laptop is under observations. On being confronted, he was quick to respond that his job was to deliver the message and he's done his job!!
That’s commendable customer service from Sony…!!
